Chris is a keen amateur musician and singer and has been lucky enough to perform with various groups and bands all over the country.

Fun fact: He made his stage debut at the age of 8 on the stage of the world famous Blackpool Tower ballroom singing "I'm the King of the Swingers" whilst wearing a plastic monkey mask!

Louise has been working with Chris since 2016. She is currently in her 2nd year of the Fellowship Dispensing Diploma where she is learning about lens design and frame choices.

Fun fact : Louise has run over 120 park runs!

Sarah joined the team in 2022 having also just moved to the Llantwit Major area. Working with Chris and the team has enabled Sarah to meet a lot of the lovely Llantwit community. Away from work Sarah enjoys keeping fit by running.

Aine joined the team in 2024, mainly helping the Practice out on Saturdays. During the week Aine is busy studying for her A-levels.

After 23 years in the Navy, Simon retrained as an Optometrist and qualified in 2007. Simon has been working for Chris, as a locum Optometrist, 2 days a week for 2 plus years. Simon enjoys gardening, supporting and watching Welsh rugby and travelling.

Gwalia Laboratories has been on site in Chris's practice since 2007 and is owned and operated by Darren who has been making spectacles since 1987. Gwalia Laboratories deals with all glazing orders not just from Chris Williams Optometrist but supplies numerous independent Opticians around South Wales and beyond.

Karen started working part-time for the Practice in September 2024. Karen has previously worked in finance and education, and is a foster carer. In her spare time Karen likes to spend time with her family, friends and dogs. She enjoys reading and crafting.

Fun fact: Karen once had to help Ashley Roberts of the Pussy Cat Dolls find her handbag. She had left it hanging on the fence when she was trying to pet the lambs in the field outside Karen's office.

Caroline started working at the Practice in 2021 on a very part time basis but 2024 the team has seen more of her whilst she has been busy designing the Practice website alongside her HR and accounts / administrator role. Outside of work she is an exercise lover and novice gardener.

Fun fact: throughout her school years Caroline was in the same year group as a Bond Girl.
